Large-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, tapering jar with tooling to midsection and below its semi-squared "wax sealer" rim, decorated with five freehand stripes. Exceptional size. Very nice condition with some minor chips to inner wax sealer rim and an in-the-firing flake to underside. H 10 1/2".
