Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON / & / JONES , / GREENSBORO, / PA.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling surrounded by stenciled daisy motifs and other stylized stenciled designs. Base with stenciled "6" flanked by flourishes. Excellent condition with a small glazed-over ping to proper right side of jar, and some light wear and residue to surface. H 16 1/2".
