Eight-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & / JONES. / GREENSBORO, / PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling surrounded by stenciled fern and geometric motifs. Stenciled "8" with flourishes above. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 20".
