Scarce Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware "Top Hat" Canning Jar, Stenciled "A.P. Donoghho.(sic) / Parkersburg, W. Va.," circa 1875, short canning jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and flattened rim, featuring diagonal A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling with unusual misspelling in name. A 2" vertical line at base on front, continuing 1/2" onto underside. Minor traces of old red paint to surface. H 5 1/2".
