One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Martinsburg, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "L. KEAGY & CO. / GENERAL / MERCHANTS. / DRAB COR. / MARTINSBURG." Freehand stripe below rim. Freehand "1 1/2" to base. Fry to cobalt number at base. Some minor fry to stripe below rim. Light wear to cobalt. Faintness to "G" in "GENERAL" and "M" in "MERCHANDISE." A few smooth, minor chips to interior of rim. Two stacker marks to top of rim. Minor staining. H 9".
