Very Rare Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Tree Decoration, attributed to Morgantown, WV or Uniontown, PA, circa 1865, semi-ovoid jar with flared rim including an inner flange to hold a lid, brush-decorated with a tree with dappled leaves emanating from a stylized ground. Desirable form and rare decoration. Excellent condition with a small chip to side of rim. H 8".
