Fine One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to G. & A. Black, Somerfield, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with flared base, tooled accents to midsection and collar, and semi-squared rim, brush-decorated with sweeping tulip motif bearing two blossoms. Cobalt dash decoration to collar and swags flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Some restoration to top edge of spout. A small restored rim chip. A shallow chip to underside at edge. A 7/8" flake to underside at edge. Three small base chips. H 10".
