Two Stoneware Canning Jars, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, both of cylindrical form featuring stenciled and freehand decoration, a one-gallon jar decorated with a stenciled tulip surrounded by the "HAMILTON & JONES / GREESNBORO, PA." maker's stencil; together with a two-gallon jar stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO / PA." around a central fan motif. Both jars with light staining. Hamilton & Jones jar with 1/2" chip to rim on right. James Hamilton jar with some wear to surface and cobalt. H (of James Hamilton jar) 11 5/8".
