Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Rose Motif, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES.," Greensboro, PA, circa 1875, tapering jar with tooled shoulder and rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring crossed rose stenciling surrounded by Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling and a stenciled wreath. An approximately 2 3/4" flake to underside at edge. A piece of adhered clay at base. Chips to interior of rim. A minor chip to inner wax sealer rim. H 9 3/4".
