Two Rockingham-Glazed Stoneware Spaniels, probably East Liverpool, OH, third quarter 19th century, both seated on rectangular bases with rounded corners, decorated with brown glaze over a yellowish ground. Provenance: Christie's, 11 July 06, Sale 1689. Taller with restoration to muzzle and base. Shorter with two firing cracks in base, measuring 1 7/8" and 1 1/4", visible on underside, as well as a faint 1 1/8" line in base. H (of taller) 11 7/8".
