Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Freehand Cobalt Decoration, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with rounded rim and tooling to midsection and shoulder, brush-decorated with an undulating vine between pairs of freehand stripes. Base with ornamental scrolled "2" flanked by dashes, above a freehand stripe. A tiny chip and minor nick to interior of rim. Staining to surface. H 11 3/8".
