Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to David Clark, Cornwall, NY, circa 1810, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, brush-decorated on the front and reverse with foliate motifs in the Clark/Cornwall style. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Underside with clay residue, a chip, and thin cracks, one becoming a tripartite crack that extends from base to shoulder and is partially restored. A restored 5 3/4" crack from rim on reverse. H 12 1/4".
