Two Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Bird Decorations, Northeastern U.S. origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a three-gallon jug, stamped "WEST TROY / N.Y. / POTTERY," paired with a three-gallon jar with later wooden lid, attributed to Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, circa 1885. Jug with restored handle, a restored spout chip, some staining, and few small surface pings. Jar with a ping to shoulder molding on reverse, a 10" diagonal crack to side/reverse, a 3 1/2" in-the-firing fissure to interior, and a tiny nick to interior of rim. H (of taller) 15 1/2".
