Exceptional Stoneware Canning Jar with Profuse Cobalt Stripe and Spot Decoration, Greensboro or New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1875, tapering jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring six freehand stripes interspersed with five rows of freehand spots. Desirable size and form with outstanding top-to-bottom decoration. A minor chip to underside at edge. Salt residue to underside. Two minor nicks to shoulder molding. H 6 5/8".
