One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Dated 1882, attributed to Seymour & Bosworth, Hartford, CT, 1882, cylindrical jug with tall, semi-squared spout ,decorated with a large design of a spotted bird perched on a scrolled, flowering stem, above the date, "1882." A partially-filled 1" spout chip and minor, unrestored spout nick. Some staining to spout and drips of brown staining or slip to proper right side. A minor in-the-firing fissure below handle. Some crazing to underside. H 12 1/4".
