Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS BINGHAMTON NY," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, decorated with a folky slip-trailed design of a long-tailed bird perched on a flower. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Areas of restoration throughout, including restoration to handles, the extent of which is unknown. H 13 1/8".
