One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with flaring collar, brush-decorated with a large wreath surrounding the maker's mark. Very nice condition. A 1 1/2" in-the-firing surface line at base on front, continuing approximately 1 1/4" onto underside, not visible on interior. A 1 1/2" glazed-over in-the-firing contact mark at base. H 11 1/8".
