Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base, tooled body, and short collar, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a stem bearing three flowers embellished with profuse spotting. Significant restoration to base. An unrestored base chip. Some restoration to rim. A small rim chip. A 1" crack with tiny flake on top of rim. Minor spout wear. A tiny in-the-firing ping to front of spout. H 7 3/8".
