Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, PA and NJ origin, 19th century, a one-gallon cylindrical jar with brushed floral and chain link motifs, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830; paired with a two-gallon cylindrical jar with stylized slip-trailed floral motif on front and script "2" on reverse, stamped "J.M. PRUDEN / ELIZABETH. NJ," third quarter 19th century. Remmey jar with large restored Y-shaped crack ascending from base to shoulder. Pruden jar with a 1 3/4" restored rim chip on proper left side of jar, small rim chips, minor chips and wear to inner rim for lid, and some water glass staining. H 10 3/4".
