Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, NJ origin, 19th century, a two-gallon stoneware pitcher with brushed and slip-trailed tulip motif, attributed to Union Pottery, Newark, NJ, circa 1880; paired with a four-gallon jar with slip-trailed vine motif on front, slip-trailed "4 G" within a border on reverse. Pitcher with restoration to base of handle, a small chip to underside at edge, and some fry to cobalt. Jar with restored cracks ascending from underside and a minor, glazed-over handle chip. H (of pitcher) 12".
