Two Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, one-and-two-gallon jars, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and squared rims, brush-decorated around their bodies with horizontal tulip motifs. Smaller with grease staining, some bubbling to cobalt, and base chips. Larger with a 1 1/2" rim chip, three small chips to interior of rim, a nick to exterior of rim, a 1 3/8" flake to underside at edge, a few other minor base chips, and grease staining and some old red paint residue to surface. H 13 1/2".
