Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Vessels, PA origin, 19th century, a one-gallon batter pail stamped "SIPE & SONS / W"MSPORT PA," circa 1880, decorated with a two-stemmed flowering plant under maker's mark and a single flower under spout, brushwork at the base of the spout, and cobalt brushwork to the handle terminals; paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon ovoid pitcher, attributed to Richard Clinton Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1865, decorated with two large tulips extending up the front and leaves on each side of the collar. Batter pail with extensive rim chips, a few scattered nicks and hairlines, losses to iron bail handle, and one replaced handle loop. Pitcher with replaced handle, 1" chip at base, a few smaller chips at base, thin hairline at right side of base extending onto underside. H (of pitcher) 11 3/4".
