Two Small-Sized Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and squared rims, one decorated with brushed foliate motifs, the other with brushed swags. Shorter with a 7/8" rim chip, a minor rim chip, and minor base chips. Taller with a few small rim chips, grease staining to surface, and fry to cobalt. H (of shorter) 6 3/4".
