Multi-Glazed Redware Tankard Pitcher, attributed to J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, cylindrical form with footed base and short, flaring collar, the surface covered in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Restored handle. A long hairline from rim. Restored spout and rim chips. Surface lines to underside, not visible on interior, extending a short distance onto base. Minor base wear. Exfoliation to interior base. H 9 3/4".
