One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG .PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, brush-decorated with a large daisy blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Restored rim chips. Small nicks and wear to interior of rim. A 2 1/4" Y-shaped line to side of jar, not visible on interior. Some light wear to cobalt. H 9 1/4".
