Stoneware Jug with Baltimore Ship Chandler's Advertising, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, squat-shaped jug with tooled spout, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "GEO. H. EDGAR / SHIP CHANDLERS, / & GROCERS. / No 73 SMITH'S WHARF / BALTIMORE." Restored handle. Restored section to spout on reverse. An in-the-firing contact mark to proper left side of jug's front. H 9 1/2".
