Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Exceptional Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1840, semi-ovoid jar with squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated on the front with a large sweeping vine bearing flowers and clustered grape-like designs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Beautiful decoration and vivid color. One handle restored. Restoration to cracks on body. Height 14 1/2".
