Half-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, attributed to Shimuel Timmerman, Lanier County, GA, circa 1880, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout and distinctive pulled handle, the surface covered in a mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. A 1 1/2" flake to shoulder. A few small base chips. Wear to underside of handle. H 9".
