Rare Carved Redware Butter Print, PA origin, 19th century, block-form print decorated on the top with a carved hex sign surrounded by triangles and circles, on the front with a vine motif and hex signs, and on each end with a hex sign. Surface covered in a clear lead glaze with pale olive to orange coloration. Provenance: Ex-Mary Merritt; Ex-Hustetter; Ex-John Chaski. Heavy chipping. Surface wear to top. L 4 1/4" ; W 2 1/2" ; H 2".
