Stoneware Face Jug with Applied Lizard and Grapes, Signed and Dated "Rex Hogan / 2008," Cleveland, GA, 2008, cylindrical jug featuring a hand-modeled and applied face with grapes atop its head, along with a lizard eating a grape. Multi-colored glaze and slip highlights throughout. Rex Hogan signature and date at base. Includes original glazed stoneware stopper. Provenance: Carl and Marian Mullis Collection; purchased by the above directly from Rex Hogan. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (including stopper) 11 1/4".
