Unusual Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Chicken Vase, attributed to Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1956-1969, wheel-thrown bottle with applied and sculpted upper body and tail of a chicken, including wattle, circular eyes, and serrated edge to comb and tail. Surface covered in a grayish alkaline glaze with cobalt wings and highlights to eyes and tail. Loss to one point on tail. A small chip to comb. H 10 1/4".
