Rare Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Double Face Jug, Inscribed "1892 / 1992 / 100 YEARS / REggiE / MEADERS," Cleveland, GA, 1992, semi-ovoid jug with two applied open handles at the shoulder, decorated on the front and reverse with a hand-modeled and applied clay face with kaolin eyes and teeth and black slip pupils. One face features a long nose and smiling expression, while the other features a smaller nose and straight face. Surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze. Incised on side, "1892 / 1992 / 100 YEARS / REggiE / MEADERS." Provenance: Carl and Marian Mullis Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/4".
