Rustic Yellowware Presentation Mug, Inscribed "MIRIAM," possibly E. & L.P. Norton Pottery, Bennington, VT, circa 1870, wheel-thrown, cylindrical mug with incised bark surface including an applied sawed limb and twig-form handle, incised "MIRIAM" within a banner, the surface glazed brown over a yellow ground. Originally found with an "E. & L.P. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT." stoneware stamp and sold along with it in Crocker Farm, Inc.'s July 21, 2018 auction. Provenance: Crocker Farm, Inc., July 21, 2018, lot 10. Very nice condition with a minor inverted U-shaped line in rim, as well as light wear to handle and raised, sawed limb. H 3 1/4".
