Rare Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Double Leaf Decoration, Red Wing, MN origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid churn with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of detailed leaves descending from a script "4." Desirable form featuring a prized Red Wing motif. Very nice condition with a few base chips, a few minor chips to inner rim for lid, a tiny nick to proper left handle, and traces of old blue paint to reverse. H 15 3/4".
