Stoneware Harvest Jug with Railroad Advertising, Ohio origin, early 20th century, beehive form with applied wide and narrow pouring spouts and hand-modeled, twig-form handle with incised bark, the surface coated in Bristol slip and impressed with stamped black advertising for "H.M. HINES / 'C. & C. ROUTE.'" A chip, a nick, and a shallow 3/4" flake to larger spout. Two small chips to smaller spout. Two cracks to proper right handle terminal and an in-the-firing fissure to proper left handle terminal. Chip to proper right handle terminal. Minor wear to proper left handle terminal. H 10 3/4".
