Rare Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher with Incised Floral Motifs, Inscribed "BEER GROWLER," Signed "Henry Lahr," OH origin, circa 1880, squat-shaped pitcher with footed base, tooled midsection, and narrow, flaring collar, the surface dipped in Albany slip and incised with the large inscription, "BEER / GROWLER.," flanked by floral motifs. Underside incised with the name, "HENRY LAHR," likely the signature of the potter. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/4".
