Very Rare Redware Umbrella Stand with Lion's Head Handles, Stamped Twice "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, large-sized, vase-like form with footed base and flared rim, the shoulder decorated with two molded and applied lion's heads forming the handles. Shoulder and underside impressed with John Bell maker's marks. Among the largest examples of Bell pottery that we have offered, featuring the family's desirable lion's head motif. Base chips. H 25".
