Rare Small-Sized Redware Food Mold, Stamped "UPTON M. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.," circa 1895, swirl-patterned mold decorated with mottled manganese under a clear lead glaze. Impressed diagonally and upside-down with the rare maker's mark of John Bell's son, Upton Martin Bell, the last proprietor of the Bell pottery in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. One of less than ten pieces that we have offered bearing this stamp. Very nice condition with a small rim chip and minor wear to end of central tube. Diam. 5 3/4" ; H 3 1/4".
