Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Pitcher, attributed to S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid pitcher with footed base, short, flaring collar, and ribbed handle, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. A 2 1/2" and 1 1/2" crack from rim rim. Wear to rim and spout. Light base wear. A glazed-over in-the-firing contact mark to one side. H 6 1/8".
