Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Pitcher, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid pitcher with footed base, short, flaring collar, and ribbed handle, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashes of copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. A spout and rim chip. Small glaze flakes to rim area. A base chip. Some scratches to surface. In-the-firing unglazed area to side of pitcher and handle. H 7 1/8".
