Large-Sized Redware Bowl with Two-Color Slip Decoration, Hagerstown, MD origin, early 19th century, flaring form with distinctive heavily-beaded rim, the interior decorated with manganese slip banding overlain with wavy white-slip lines, all under a clear lead glaze. Glaze loss to interior, including significant loss to interior base area. Additional surface wear to interior. A few old, smooth rim chips. Diam. 16" ; H 5".
