Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING. PA," circa 1870, highly-ovoid jug with cylindrical spout, brush-decorated with an undulating vine bearing two flowers. Freehand stripe below. A faint horizontal line through handle. Staining to surface. Typical in-the-firing stacker marks to shoulder. H 13 1/2".
