Unusual Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Inscription, "Shupps Bee Hive / Plymouth . Pa.," Stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON, PA," circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, featuring slip-trailed advertising for "Shupps Bee Hive / Plymouth. Pa." Fry to cobalt. A small in-the-firing to rim on reverse. A small chip to interior of rim. H 9 1/2".
