Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "THOMAS & BRO.," Huntingdon, PA, circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a tulip motif based on the Thomas family's tenure in Harrisburg. A 1 1/2" rim chip on reverse, a 7/8" rim chip on front, and two minor rim nicks. A 6" hairline on underside, forming a Y at base on front. Water glass staining to surface. Jar is slightly out-of-round. H 10".
