Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Spaniel with Manganese and Cobalt Decoration, probably Anna Pottery, Anna, IL, circa 1880-1890, large-sized, molded figure of a seated spaniel atop an oval base with brushed manganese highlights to ears, tail, and feet, the base with brushed cobalt highlights. The form, color, and decoration on this spaniel, suggest it was made at Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick's Anna Pottery. Provenance: Crocker Farm, Inc., July 18 2015, lot 116. Very nice condition. Some in-the-firing lines, including one to base of muzzle, a 1 1/2" vertical line to base, a base chip on side, and a few minor base nicks. H 13 3/4".
