Cobalt-Banded Stoneware Keg, Northeastern U.S. origin, mid to late 19th century, ovoid form with circular banding and raised banding brushed with cobalt slip. Includes metal spigot and later wooden lid. Very nice condition with small chips to bunghole, some small in-the-firing rim chips (one of which is glazed over), and some staining. H (excluding lid) 11 3/4".
