Unusual Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flowerpot with Relief Decoration, NY State or New England origin, fourth quarter 19th century, molded flowerpot with deep, attached molded saucer, each decorated with abstract relief designs delicately-brushed with cobalt highlights. Clear salt-glazed surface. Original pierced hole to interior of flowerpot. This intriguing piece appears to be made from a molded flowerpot and conjoined molded bowl also produced at the pottery. Excellent condition for this form with a shallow 1" chip to rim of saucer. H 9 1/8" ; Diam. (of saucer) 11".
