Stoneware Oyster Jar, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1880, cylindrical form with narrow collar and applied handle, featuring the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "JOHN LOVEITT & CO / 9 CASCO. ST." A 5/8" line at base on front, continuing across underside, and extending as a wider crack 4 3/4" up reverse. A 1 1/2" Y-shaped line at base and a 1/2" line at base. H 7 1/4".
