One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird, perched on a stylized branch. Excellent condition with some light staining and a few small in-the-firing iron pings. H 7" Diam. (at rim) 8 1/2".
