One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "W. ROBERTS / BINGHAMTON N Y," circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with striped body, spotted wing, and fan-like tail, perched on a flowering plant. Cobalt accent to maker's mark. Areas of fry to cobalt. Some light staining to surface. H 12 1/2".
